Welcome to my webspace! I'm currently a Visiting Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering at the University of New Haven. I've received a Ph.D. in Applied Science at the College of William and Mary, a M.S. from the Architectural Acoustics program at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and a B.S. in Physics from Truman State University.
My research expertise involves applying signal processing and machine learning methods to find useful information hidden inside noisy or complex signals, primarily in the acoustic and electromagnetic domains. High-performance three-dimensional scattering simulations running on distributed computing clusters provide additional insight into the underlying physical phenomena and allow improvements in these methods. Other research interests include multisensor fusion for autonomous robots, concert hall acoustics, and ultrasonic nondestructive evaluation.
I'll use this site to share some past projects I've worked on and some thoughts on my current research. I'll also compile some of the technical resources that I have found most useful, and share some of my broader interests.
